Simple Shifts is a platform that connects pharmacies and other employers with pharmacists for staffing, shift coverage, and job opportunities. This policy describes how Simple Shifts collects, uses, and handles information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide to us and information generated through your use of the platform. This may include your name, email address, phone number, account role, profile details, communications, job and shift activity, application activity, Market activity, and basic technical or usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How we use information

We use information to create and maintain accounts, provide platform features, connect employers and pharmacists, process requests, communicate about platform activity, protect the service, respond to support inquiries, comply with applicable obligations, and improve our services. We do not promise that every type of information is used in every situation.

Account and profile information

Account and profile information may include contact details, account role, company information, professional background, licensing details, availability, preferences, and other information you choose to provide. Some profile information may be visible to other users when needed to support a listing, application, offer, or staffing opportunity.

Employer and job posting information

Employers may provide business and contact information, job or shift details, schedules, rates, locations, requirements, applicant decisions, and related communications. Information intended for a public job or Market listing may be displayed to platform users. Private contact information is shared only as needed to operate relevant workflows.

Pharmacist and application information

Pharmacists may provide professional qualifications, licensing information, work preferences, availability, application responses, Market listing information, and related communications. We may share relevant application or profile information with the employer connected to an opportunity.

Payment processing

When payment features apply, payments may be processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect and process payment, billing, and transaction information under its own terms and privacy policy. Simple Shifts may receive limited transaction information needed to provide the service, maintain records, or respond to payment questions.

Emails and notifications

We may send emails or notifications concerning account access, email verification, jobs, shifts, applications, Market offers, reminders, support requests, and other platform activity. Some operational messages are necessary to provide or secure the service.

Cookies, sessions, and authentication

We may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, and similar tools to keep users signed in, remember preferences, maintain security, and support core functionality. Authentication and session handling may be provided through Supabase. Blocking these technologies may prevent parts of the platform from working.

Service providers

We may use service providers for hosting, authentication, payments, email delivery, analytics, security, customer support, and other operational needs. These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the platform, or others.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the platform, and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Retention periods may vary based on the information and the reason it is held.

Account deletion

You can initiate an account deletion request from Account Settings. For questions, contact support at [email protected]. Requests are reviewed before deletion. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes.
